Almost none.
The Snimio website uses one cookie, and it's only there to remember your language. No tracking, no analytics, no banners.
What we set
- snimio-lang, first-party, stores your selected interface language (one of
nl, en, de, fr, es). Lifetime: 1 year. Purpose: so the site loads in your language next visit.
That's the entire list.
What we don't set
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or any third-party tracker.
- No advertising cookies. We don't sell ads.
- No "anonymous" analytics cookies. We don't measure visits at all.
- No session cookies tied to logged-in state on this marketing site (signed-in state lives in the desktop app, not the browser).
Inside the Snimio desktop app
The app does not use cookies. It uses your operating system's secure storage for OAuth tokens and a local SQLite database for cache. None of it leaves your device.
How to opt out
Clear cookies for snimio.com in your browser. You'll lose your language preference, but otherwise nothing changes. You can also block the cookie via your browser settings, the site will just default to English on every visit.
Why no cookie banner?
Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy directive, banners are required only when you set non-essential cookies (typically tracking and advertising). Since we set none of those, there's nothing to ask consent for. The language cookie qualifies as "strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the user."
